Freelance Sessional Graphic Design Tutor
This is a freelance role with flexible hours, meaning that you can fit teaching in around your current commitments. Courses take place both online and in-class. The ideal candidate will be able to teach classroom courses at our centre in Romford, as well as online courses from home.
Although teaching hours cannot be guaranteed, we currently have a high demand for the following accredited courses:
Graphic Design Level 1 (online) – 1 x 2 hour session per week from home
Graphic Design Level 2 (online) – 1 x 2 hour session per week from home
Graphic Design Level 1 (in class) – 1 x 5 hour session per week from our centre in Romford
Graphic Design Level 2 (in class) – 1 x 5 hour session per week from our centre in Romford
Your role is to;

Teach classroom based Level 1 & Level 2 Graphic Design Courses

Assess work in line with internal and external quality procedures
-
Assist in developing and creating courses
Pay:
We pay £30.00 per hour for teaching, as well as for any additional work done outside of teaching hours (preparation, course writing, marking etc.). You will need to invoice us at the end of each month for money owed. You are responsible for being registered as self-employed and for organising your tax returns.
You must:
-
Hold a teaching qualification of Level 4 or higher
-
Hold a professional qualification in Graphic Design or similar (degree or higher)
-
Be registered as self-employed
-
Have a solid understanding of how to use Illustrator and Photoshop to create professional designs
Ideal Candidate will also:
-
Have Graphic Design industry experience and/or be currently active in the industry
-
Have 3 years or more teaching experience
-
Be able to teach another discipline (Web Design, I.T, Music Production, Video Production) at Level 1 and Level 2
