creative industries in london

London City

“In London, the creative industries generate £47 billion per annum and the creative economy accounts for 1 in 6 jobs. This is one of the fastest growing sectors of London’s economy and, across the UK, the number of people working in these industries is growing at almost three times the national average. Many of these jobs are ‘future proof’ because 87 per cent of creative occupations are at low risk of automation” (Mayor of London – Skills for Londoners Strategy 2018)

Our Purpose

We want to help as many people to achieve their ambitions as possible.

Creative media is a rapidly growing sector, with new opportunities constantly emerging. It can be, however, a difficult industry to access – particularly for groups that are currently underrepresented.

We, with the support of the Mayor of London, want to address this imbalance by offering affordable online multimedia qualifications, particularly to those who would otherwise find access to these difficult. Where possible, we want these courses to be free, which is what our relationship with the Mayor of London allows (please see eligibility criteria).

FUNDING FOR FREE COURSES

We receive funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) via the Mayor of London and Havering Council.

This is to provide access to all of our qualifications at no cost to the learner. To be eligible for a fully funded place, you must:

  • Be aged 19 or over

  • To currently live in a London Borough

  • To have lived in the European Union for the last 3 years

To apply for a fully funded place on any of our courses:

  • Click on ‘Book Now’ and select the course that you want to book on to

  • Enter coupon code FUNDED on the payment screen

  • You will be contacted via email by our admin team who will ask you to verify your eligibility by sending us copies of your I.D, proof of address and proof of EU residency

  • You will only need to do this once; you can then access any and all of our qualifications for free (certificate postage is £20 – digital copies of the certificates are emailed for free)
